the kids did their one pumpkins this year all by themselves (except Truman, of course.  And Morgan wanted help drawing the face on hers)

After everyone went inside, Truman wanted to stay out for a few extra minutes.

 Truman was so concerned the fire went out in one of the pumpkins.

Ward Trunk or Treat 2012

Tonight was the Trunk or Treat.  It's a big tradition in our ward.  We have a chili cook off, dessert contest, costume contest, and prizes for the best decorated trunk.  I was busy helping a lot tonight with judging and family that my camera sat in the car.....dang it!  Here are a few pictures that I did take:

My first attempt at making cake balls.  I heard they were good.  By the time I went to try one, they were gone.  :)  I made white chili too.

 Same as before, but Liz the Hippie is in this one.  

 Graham took home a best costume prize for the kids.  He said to me, still in character, "It was flippin' amazing.  It was incredible."  He was in character all night.

And I have to mention our great friends, the Allreds.  They discuss and plan all year round what they are going to be for Halloween.  This year:  Mary Poppins and the chimney sweeps.  A.Mazing!  I got chills when I saw them tonight.  Melanie does an amazing job.  We always love to see what they come up with every year.

We love Halloween.  I will be taking more pics soon of the festivities that are coming within the next few days.

She's 2 Months!

Cornbelly's

We took the kids to Cornbelly's out at Thanksgiving Point.  We had a blast!  This was the first time we have ever gone and we weren't disappointed in the least.

Truman was ecstatic that he found a tire swing in the shape of a motorcycle.

This was so funny.  Truman walked all the way up to the ship this way.  He couldn't figure out where to put his feet.  Wide legs all the way.

Rained Out

The kids are on fall break. We've been super busy switching rooms around and getting ready to paint. So we were all looking forward to a morning to play.
We were all so excited to go with our friends Brooke and Heidi to a pumpkin patch/petting zoo/corn maze place in Springville when it started to pour rain. :( boo!
So we needed something else to do. We went to Walmart and found these window decals. We plan to go with Brooke and Heidi another day. Soon! But for now, we're just rained out.

Same Time!!

It's a very rare occurrence when my two little ones nap at the same time. Today was one of them! It's a time when I wiz around the house and get as much done as I can in the small amount of time I get to myself. yay!
