sneak peak

My friend Whitney and I are so proud of our creation. A totally collapsible doll house for our girls for Christmas! Whitney had a doll house similar to this when she was growing up. She came up with the floor plan and measurements and I cut the wood! We started painting yesterday. It's all been done while the girls are at school. :) Oh, and the best part....it's cost us each less than $20!

Happy Halloween

Our Halloween was CRAZY! I have learned that the older my kids get the busier I am. Here is a list of we all got accomplished on our Halloween:
  • Kids up at 7 for scriptures and prayers
  • start laundry and David leaves for work
  • two girls dressed and makeup on by the time school started at 8:40.
  • run to the store for loose ends for Morgan's Halloween party (I'm the room mother)
  • slice apples and last minute touch up before party
  • switch over laundry
  • Party!
  • During party the school secretary peaks her head in looking for me because Carmen had been throwing up and was waiting for me in the office
  • pick up Carmen, take Morgan home because kindergarten was over
  • come home make lunch and David comes home from work
  • get a call from Graham saying he was ready for me to come and get him ready for the parade(he needed extra help with his costume)
  • David stayed home with the kids while I went to the parade
  • came home, made our traditional sugar cookies (Sarah's b-day gift every year)
  • go pick up Graham
  • David heads to class
  • finish frosting cookies and finish a crochet project (also for Sarah)
  • Head up to Sarah's house for a visit and her ward trunk-or-treat
  • David comes home from class and is locked out :/
  • We head home, get David, Granny, and my great friend Brooke who was husbandless for the night, but wanted to enjoy the festivities and made the rounds of trick-or-treating through the neighborhood.
  • Finished and home by 7:30 even though it felt like midnight.
Whew!! Deep breath! We made it and the kids had a fabulous time. Even though Carmen was throwing up in the morning and she was super bummed she missed her party and the parade at school, she felt fine in the evening. I am really happy to say that Halloween is over......now we have to figure out what we are going to do with all this candy! :)
